My project is a smart knee brace designed to support rehabilitation and prevent injuries, especially for the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and meniscus. Made from neoprene, titanium supports, EMG sensors, and brushless motors, the brace provides stability, controlled flexion, and ligament protection. It assists post-surgery patients by guiding knee movement through programmed motorized support, reducing stress on healing tissues. Athletes benefit from protection against overexertion, maintaining knee stability during high-intensity training.
Founder(s): John Diaz
My idea is Monarch Media, a social media management agency that helps small businesses grow their online presence. We create content strategies, posts, reels, and branding that make local businesses stand out and connect with their audience. The problem we solve is that many business owners don’t have the time or expertise to market themselves effectively online. They may also lack the skills necessary to prep content themselves.
Founder(s): Somayeh Mohammadi
Our idea is a low-cost, paper-based colorimetric sensor for rapid detection of cortisol, the primary biomarker of stress. With just a drop of saliva or sweat, the sensor changes color, allowing users to monitor stress levels without expensive lab tests or invasive procedures. The problem we address is the lack of affordable, accessible, real-time tools for stress monitoring. Current tests require specialized equipment, trained personnel, and long turnaround times, making them impractical for daily use.

My business empowers individuals with disabilities to find and maintain meaningful employment that fits their strengths and interests. Unlike some providers who focus on numbers, I prioritize placing clients in environments where they can thrive and feel a sense of inclusion. This journey began in 2019, and by 2021, I founded Signology LLC, an employment service provider specializing in vocational habilitation for the Deaf community.
Founder(s): Adrian Castro
Our idea is a financial guidance app called WEALTHY. A trustworthy copilot on every device, ready to translate goals into clear next steps. At sign-up, a short questionnaire maps your situation; the app returns a simple plan across budgeting, debt, credit, saving, investing basics, retirement, and insurance literacy, with side-by-side product comparisons and plain-English definitions. The problem we’re solving is decision overload and sales-driven noise.

The Sense Cube is a handheld cube that uses six solenoid motors that move up and down to form Braille characters. By placing their hand on the cube, blind or visually impaired individuals can instantly read messages or information being transmitted to the device. The cube connects wirelessly to smartphones, allowing real time translation of text or presentation content into a tactile format.
Founder(s): Rey Sanchez
Our idea is an AI-powered water forecasting dashboard called Seraphim. We plan to partner with municipal utilities like El Paso Water to integrate accurate, ZIP-code-level demand forecasts, weather simulations, and anomaly detection directly into their planning and operations. The system is accessible through an interactive dashboard and natural-language AI assistant. The problem we address is that utilities still depend on outdated, spreadsheet-based methods that are slow and inaccurate.

How many of us have wanted to help someone experiencing homelessness, yet hesitated—wondering if our money would truly make a difference? Today, 94% of people experiencing homelessness own a cellphone. Building on that reality, we’re developing a fintech solution powered by Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to transform the way we give. With AlmsPay, donations are delivered digitally and safeguarded, usable only for essentials such as food, clothing, shelter, or healthcare.
